It all began with a gift.
In 1918 Mr. Henry Langeland gave a gift to area Reformed and Christian Reformed churches. The gift was his Victorian home on Peck Street. That one gift eventually grew into the non-profit ministry we know as Christian Care Nursing Center and Assisted Living Community.
And to think it all began with one person’s gift.
Amazing what one person can do, isn't it?
How You Can Help
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN FOR NEW NURSING CENTER
Our Nursing Center staff consistently provides compassionate, skillful, and person-centered care to its residents, as evidenced by our recent 97% family satisfaction survey. However, the job of the staff has become more difficult in recent years as the building has become outdated and crowded. The current building is on a small lot and will never be adequate to meet new state and federal regulations and provide opportunities for new methods of delivery of care to our residents. Therefore, we have begun the process of building a new nursing center, which will replace our current facility on Kenneth Street. Click here for details on our new nursing center.
The plans have been drawn, pledges have begun, and the land has been cleared for our new Nursing Center. But we still need help. In order to truly meet the needs of our current and our future residents, we are in need of additional support from individuals, businesses, and organizations. Those who believe in the value of Christ-centered long-term care for our relatives, neighbors, fellow church members and others in our community are asked to support our capital campaign and help us make our new Nursing Center a reality.
